I have seen KISS twice on their “Farewell Tour”. The first time was 3/17/2000 in Las Vegas. The second was almost 19 years to the day on 3/16/2019 in Columbus, Ohio. That night I thought I had said my final goodbye. I had made my peace. Turns out I will be feeling the hot steel of Paul’s Love Gun two more times. A month ago I crumbled in the face of their hype war machine and bought tickets Indianapolis Thanksgiving weekend (a week before their final shows in NYC) And then… a very generous friend gifted me (and Owen) two free tickets to their show at the Sonic Temple festival this Saturday. I was going to skip this show and hold onto a shred of concert going integrity but alas, the God of Thunder had other plans. I’m glad he did.
