Friday Bet$ For Realz
Friday Bet$ For Realz And Futures!
Your Pencil Storm prognosticators are back for another season of Friday bets for real. These are actual bets placed by actual people. However, it is important to remember that we are not encouraging you to follow our lead and gamble your hard earned money away on our behalf. But it is also important to remember that “winners play and players win baby!” Ok, let’s do this.

As I try to find me sea legs early on in this season, I'm going to dig deep and focus on some MACtion:
UNI -13.5 v Buff
Ball St +6.5 v C. Mich
Toledo -2.5 v WKU
BGSU +22.5 v Texas A/M
then a hunch play
Florida Atlantic +1.5 v Uconn
Good Luck, fade or tail

I decided to take a look at some futures, bets I usually don't make mostly because I just can't wait that long. FanDuel has an interesting Futures Fusion section that gives you some premade futures parlays. There's a lot to hunt through but a couple of the better odds ones that caught my eye were: At least 3 teams from AFC North to make the playoffs - +470 Odds will likely not be better with the Ravens and Bengals both standing at 0-2. But recent history is on the division's side with the AFC North sending 3 teams to the postseason 4 times in the past 12 seasons (3 other divisions have done it once each during that span). Detroit Lions to win the NFC Championship Game and the Cincinnati Bengals to win the AFC North - +1700 Look, yes, I'm a Bengals fan. But the odds here are really tasty. Cincy has a last-place schedule and looks poised to go on a very strong run. The AFC North is up for grabs and who among us dare root against Dan Campbell and the Lions in the Super Bowl? Chicago Bears to win the NFC North and to win the Super Bowl - +8500 Haha, no

Vegas always struggles with early season college football and last weekend was a prime example. Purdue was + 7.5 vs Notre Dame but ended up losing 66-7. Meanwhile, Kentucky, fresh off getting whooped by a mediocre South Carolina squad were 21 point dogs to mighty Georgia and yet lost a game they should have won by a single point, 13-12.
Nothing this week jumps out at me but since I have been riding Alabama (to cover) and Michigan (to disappoint) for the first two weeks I am going to ride that trend. Or at least half of it. I will take USC -5.0 in the Big House. Michigan is shaking up their QB situation and will surely improve over the course of the season but I’m hoping this isn’t the week they figure it out against a talented USC roster.
And what the hell, I will take USF +17 vs Miami and Oklahoma at home getting +7 vs Tennessee in a prime time matchup in Norman.
OMG (Baller, Sharp)
Vikings + 2, Chargers +1.5
Also I have $3 to win $450 on a Royals v Padres World Series matchup so I will be keeping my eye on Bobby Witt Jr. and his boys in Kansas City.
