This Song! Help Me Find the Way - by The Twilight Hours
Winter mornings at Colin’s Coffee can be either peacefully quiet or painfully bleak depending on your worldview that particular day. A couple years back I was digging through writer Annie Zaleski’s “Best records you might have missed list” and stumbled onto this tune from The Twilight Hours. The song stopped me in my tracks from the get-go. Sure, staring out windows into a dark parking lot might have helped the mood, but after just one listen (ok, two) I thought to myself, “that song couldn’t be any better.” They nailed it. Listening to the vocals, singer Matt Wilson sounds like Brian Wilson’s grandson. Turns out there is no relation, though his brother Dan is a very big deal in the pop music world himself. Anyway….Enjoy. - Colin
