Like so many folks around the United States (and the world, for that matter), I’m still fighting the Quarantine Blues here in Ohio. With no live music or even band rehearsal until the Covid numbers drop, I’ve been extra-tuned into filling my head with new music and podcasts. Mind you, that when I say “new”, I mean new to me, no matter what year it was released. Along those lines we thought it would be fun to start a new series highlighting some of the interesting discoveries we make while living in a semi-lockdown.
Kicking off the series is this song I heard one afternoon on WCBE Global Village hosted by Maggie Brennan. Within ten seconds it completely stopped me in my tracks and I had to figure out who it was by. I have listened to it every morning walking to the coffee shop for the past two weeks.
