A couple years back while I was a guest on the Ticket Stubbs Podcast (Episode 25 hosted by Todd Baker and Kevin Montavon) they asked me if there was one band I really wanted to see once the Covid lockdowns were in our rear view mirror. I pondered it for a moment, and I am sure they expected a stock answer like Cheap Trick, AC/DC or Bruce Springsteen, but only one band popped into my mind. The one band I wanted to see once live music was back was Terry Anderson and The Olympic Ass Kickin’ Team.
Fast forward to Friday, October 20th at the Rumba Cafe: Game One of The World Series of Rock featuring Terry Anderson and The Olympic Ass Kickin’ Team with special guest Watershed. Click here for ticket info.
Yes, I know it’s odd for us to be the opening act in our hometown, but with the OAK boys traveling up from Raleigh, NC we wanted to make it worth their while both musically and for the gas/beer money needed for the trip. So Watershed will be on at 8 pm and will play a lengthy set to get you primed for the OAK Team following directly after us.
I am so excited! And you should be too. If you need a little help with the hype, dig this story and playlist we run every 4th of July on Pencil Storm.

Meanwhile, Watershed has mastered our upcoming full-length vinyl release and it is waiting in line for production at Musical Studios here in Columbus. Once again, the mastering duties were handled by the brilliant Scott Gorsuch with an assist from our own Rick Kinsinger. You might have heard there is a bit of a backlog getting records pressed these days but we do have June 13/14, 2024 on hold for a couple of shows at the Rumba Cafe to serve as an album release party. So save the dates and we will give more details when we know more.
