Welp I missed on both picks last week as Michigan didn't hit the over, though as predicted, easily covered the spread by a long shot. The Ravens beat the Browns, but failed to hit the measly 38.5 over so I lost that one too. Clearly I put too much faith in the over sometimes.
NCAAF: So much venom from my Ohio brethren, and I get it. The top of the rankings is way too packed to talk trash, and that's not my style, plus I can see that where there's smoke there's fire, but from up here, the team is rallying around the hate and it seems unlikely they'll fall apart without JH on the sidelines. I'd be lying if I said it's no big deal that he won't be there against your Buckeyes next weekend. Still I'm gonna stick with the Wolverines against Maryland, -18.5 and parlay with McCarthy throwing at least 2 TDs at +135.
NFL: The Chargers-Lions game was way too close for comfort on Sunday and I was glad I didn't have time to get a bet in. Detroit -7.5 against the 3-7 bears seems safe, but Chicago always comes to Detroit to play, so it makes me nervous. Eagles-Cheifs on Monday night is gonna be a banger for sure. This week I'm taking the Seahawks -1.5 and the under 46.5 at +275 against the Rams in LA. Let's see what happens.

I’m playing a two team parlay Maryland +19 vs Michigan and Rutgers +20.5 vs Penn State.
I’m rolling with both dogs this week. Penn State looked SO bad on offense last week I just cannot believe an under appreciated Rutgers squad cannot keep this game close if not win it out right.
I’m less confident about Maryland but when a team fires a coach with only two games left in the season, that suggests there is some serious fire behind all that smoke coming out of the UM cheating scandal. More importantly, perhaps this impressive Michigan squad might be caught sneaking a peek ahead to the huge match up next week against Ohio State. But maybe not. This is not a five star pick.
