Turn that gambling podcast off. You don’t have to sift through all those cold takes. Pencilstorm has you covered with Friday Bet$ For Realz. Every Friday this fall we will be posting actual bets being made by Pencil Storm staffers and friends. Remember the best bet is to never bet at all. On the other hand…winners play and player’s win. Let’s do this!

12-2-1 , doing the bull dance, feeling the flow. Seeing the board pretty, pretty well at this point. Will it continue?
Gotta have a Friday night play, and since I have plans and can't plop in front of the tv, it's under time.
Nebraska vs ILL SCREAMS under, taking under 43.5 -115
Onto Saturday: Death, taxes, Red River Shootout over, Ok v Texas over 59.5 , -115
I look for 39 point o/u's , I expect punch drunk points in Iowa v Purdue, maybe a defensive score , maybe special teams? safeties? Iowa v Purdue over 38.5 -110
Get right game for the Bulldogs, Georgia -14.5 , -110
Good luck, fade or tail..

I bet Cal getting 10 at home vs Oregon State this past Sunday shortly after the line went live. The line is now 9.5 but still looks like a good play to me. Cal head coach Justin Wilcox isn't telling the media who will start at QB, and will instead keep the Beavers guessing until kickoff.
And I've got Rutgers catching 13 at Wisconsin, with the Badgers in a let-down spot with the Hawkeyes on deck.
For those on Maryland getting 20 against our beloved Buckeyes, and there appears to be lots of 'em .... I'm not saying it's a bad bet, but know that Ryan Day is 4-0 off bye weeks (excluding the covid year), covering spreads of 29.5, 21, 42.5 and 26.5.
OMG (Baller, sharp)
Alabama pick’em
San Fran 49ers - 3 vs Dallas

Achtung! I am not an actual gambler. I throw small numbers around and bet purely for entertainment value.
Last week, Michigan made it look easy versus the cornholers but ND made me sweat it out covering that 5.5 at Duke on the final drive of the game. No matter, 2 and zero = easy $
This week, I like Missouri ML at home vs LSU. Brian “Y’all” Kelly’s squad has one of the worst defenses in the nation, nothing to play for after its second loss last week and some sweet NIL cash that ain’t going to spend itself on Bourbon Street. I say the Tigers phone this one in.
And I have been riding Texas off the Friday Bet$ board but welcome to the Realz Sark. I take Texas - 5 vs Okies in the Red River Shootout.

Last week I easily covered my Michigan money line with the over parlay, but I regret not taking the points. Who knew that the Jets would actually put up a fight against the Chiefs though? I sure didn’t, but I was more glued to the next TayTay sighting than the game anyway. (not really…) It was a weird week for the NFL with a lot of really even matchups, on paper anyhow.
So this week I’m going to take the Wolverines, but with the points -18.5 and the over 45.5 at +200. On paper the Lions, who we love, should OWN the Struggling Panthers, but as a beaten down Lions fan I know that whatever I bet on, the opposite will happen, so I’ll wait `till game time to pick that one. Philly looks strong and there’s problems in the Rams’ locker room so I’ll take Philly on the road with the money line parlayed with Hurts 250+ passing yards for +220.

THREE AND ZERO LAST WEEK YEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWW. DUDES… I Rule. JUST SAYIN”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Baker almost gets killed, chugs a couple hurricanes at half time and still gets the Bucs and myself another victory in the SuperDome. And should I mention I hit both my college picks!! (Auburn and Texas) I should..
The guys tried to talk me out of it, saying they were getting worried I was getting carried away with gambling but that’s just sour grapes. What’s that number to call if you have a problem again? Ha Ha HA It’s a HEAT CHECK WEEKEND!!!! I am going all in with big cash. My girlfriend Skyler warned me to slow down too but you know how women are about money. So emotional. I explained this was an investment in OUR future and that I don’t nag her when she blows cash on a fancy haircut or donates to the food pantry. Geez. Just let me work. So here goes..
8 Team Parlay Illinois / Alabama / Boomers Sooners (for Baker on his off week) / Saints / Texans / Dolphins / Rams / Jets
Going to enjoy my roll for 48 hours starting Friday night. See you next week suckers. HASSLER IS OUT.
Brian Phillips (Host CD92.9 Morning Show)
Washington State +3 1/2 at UCLA.... The undefeated Cougs are in a great place right now. Especially on the offensive side of the ball. Quarterback Cam Ward has thrown no picks against 13 touchdowns in the first four. I'll happily take three and the hook in a game I think the Cougs can win outright.
Wyoming +6 vs Fresno State... I'll thank the Action Network Group Of Five Deep Dive podcast (great content!) for their frequent reminders that strange things happen in Laramie. That should be especially true Saturday with temps at kick off in the mid 60s, and by the 2nd half, gusty winds and 32. Fresno is a solid team, but this is not going to be a pleasant California evening. Give me the pesky Cowboys with the points.
Also, Hassler is a shit head who knows nothing about sports that he hasn’t learned from Pat McAfee and Skip Bayless. With that in mind I will also be playing an eight team parlay but just betting a dollar. (Jeff is betting much more, We tried to talk him out of it.)
My parlay is: Nebraska / Texas A&M / Texas / Patriots / Falcons / Giants / Eagles / Broncos (The exacted opposite of Hassler)

Alabama -2.5 over Texas A&M - I’m riding the Saban’s Revenge train. He probably remembers how Jimbo Fisher makes him feel and I’m here for it. Alabama wants to turn a corner and A&M will just be the next sacrificial sheep.
Chiefs -3.5 over Vikings - No Swifties (hopefully, no offense) and I think the pressure will be off for the Chiefs. Minnesota is this close to having a disastrous start to this season and nothing about their team makes me think they’re gonna keep this close when KC wants to make a statement after a lackluster performance against the Jets.
